Union Education Minister Pradhan Outlines Strategy for Next Level of Education Reform at National Conclave

New Delhi, July 22: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presided over a two-day conclave of State and UT Education Ministers in New Delhi, where he outlined the strategy of the government for the next level of education reforms as the NEP 2020 is approaching its sixth anniversary.

Speaking to the Education Ministers and senior officials of the education department, Pradhan said that the upcoming July 29 is a very important day as it marks six years of NEP.

The Minister announced initiatives to scale up their flagship schemes like Samagra Shiksha 3.0, NIPUN Bharat 2.0, PM POSHAN and also increased their efforts in scaling up the Atal Tinkering Lab to promote innovation and STEM education in schools.

The Pradhan mentioned that the success of India's educational reform will require excellent collaboration between the Central Government and the states. The common goal was the creation of an inclusive, equitable, and futuristic education system that would be in accordance with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The conclave also considered the execution of centrally sponsored school education programs and the achievements of the NEP in the last six years. The officials came up with strategies to enhance literacy, multilingual education, school infrastructure, and nutrition while setting their priorities for future academic years.
